Animal-Assisted Learning
Group Sessions

Sessions are designed to give children and youth an opportunity to experience growth, connection and belonging as they engage in Animal-Assisted Learning, Yoga/Mindfulness and Nature/Farm-based activities. These experiences support the development of confidence, caring for others and a strong sense of self while increasing the ability to handle stress and adversity. Participants learn about and experience the regulatory effects of engaging with animals and nature. They are then able to process their experiences in our studio using art materials and through group activities. Movement activities are woven into the program to support body awareness and a sense of agency. Our facilitators are educated in Child Development, Counseling, and Yoga Therapy and provide support to participants. Groups are small and limited to 4 participants, ages 8-older. Each 6 week session includes 6 group sessions for children and 2 Parent Group nights. These parent sessions are opportunities for parents to learn more about session activity, ask questions and explore ways to integrate learned practices and skills at home.
