Our pediatric respite visits offer a peaceful space for children and families experiencing illness or loss to spend quiet time at the farm. Located on 33 private acres, our small farm is home to horses, goats, cats and bunnies who often become comforting companions during visits.

Families are invited to slow down, breathe and simply be together while spending reflective time with the animals. These visits are not therapy sessions, but an opportunity for calm, connection and moments of peace away from hospitals and daily stress. Respite farm experiences are free of charge to families.

We are able to donate a limited number of visits per month. During each visit, a farm staff member will gently accompany families around the property and introduce them to the animals. Families spend about one hour engaging with the animals followed by an additional 30 minutes to rest on the property, enjoy the peaceful surroundings or share a packed lunch together.
Visits are weather dependent and generally take place May through October, with occasional early season visits in March and April.
Visits are arranged through referrals from pediatric palliative care teams, hospice programs, hospitals and grief-support organizations.

If you are a healthcare or support professional who works with families that may benefit from a quiet farm respite experience, we would welcome connecting with you. Please contact us to learn more about referral opportunities and scheduling visits.
